74 Year Old Wrexham Man Charged With Historic Care Home Offences

Peter Steen aged 74 from Wrexham is the third person to be charged under Operation Pallial, an investigation into allegations of historic child abuse.

Mr Steen has been charged with three offences of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and four charges of child cruelty.

The offences are alleged to have taken place against four boys and one girl, who were aged between 13 and 16 years.

The offences are alleged to have been committed between 1978 and 1986.

He has been bailed to appear at Mold Magistrates on 12th June.

Operation Pallial is an investigation being conducted by the National Crime Agency (NCA) into recent allegations of historical abuse in the care system in North Wales.
