Yale College Celebrates Adult Learners Week On Queen’s Square

Yale College launched their part-time learning opportunities on Queen’s Square yesterday in time for Adult Learners’ Week.

Local business woman Caroline Cheetham-Wheeler enjoyed exploring part-time learning courses along with marketing officer, Jane Rayner (both pictured above) as the college’s brochure was launched.

Yale College is keen to encourage anyone with aspirations to improve themselves while they work or grow their job opportunities to take action this week.

As well as launching their new part-time brochure, they are also offering taster sessions for the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), an excellent foundation for accountants and business practitioners alike at their Grove Park campus on Wednesday 23rd May at 1pm.

Next week’s free sessions will give the opportunity for prospective learners to meet tutor Vanessa O’Keefe and other AAT tutors and ask any questions they might have.

The taster session will give an overview of the AAT course, the units involved and the assessment methods used and an introduction to accounting and double-entry book-keeping.

Prospective learners will get the chance to have a go at the type of work that would be encountered on the level two course and give them a clearer picture on what accounting actually involves.
