Professor Peter Excell, a Professor of Communications, will lead the talk at Glyndŵr University on Thursday 10 November.
He will discuss some of the research from his 40 year career spanning academia and industry, as well as discussing some of the lessons learnt by universities in their pursuit of groundbreaking research.
The talk, titled “From Specialised Engineering Science, Telecommunications and Computing to Joined-up Communications: an exploration including some of the big questions of academia”, gets underway in the Catrin Finch Centre at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
