In fairness a sudden onset of backpain with symptoms of incontinence and loss of sensation, power and pain in the legs could be a sign of a serious condition like Cauda Equina Syndrome, something I have seen many times. However if the symptoms had been going on for weeks an assessment by the GP and referal for an MRI may have been more appropriate.

However that is if you can get an appointment and if you do you are likely to have to wait around 6 months or more in Wales.

I totally agree people who waste resources like this should be charged, however I don’t know how it would work without moving to an American system.

We still have to see these people and often they are the ones who kick off for having to wait.

Common sense seems to be lacking in many people these days, #needtotakepersonalresponsibility.

I live in Wales but work for NHS England. I can categorically say that we have a third world health service in Wales.

Delays related discharging patients back across the border and lack of services available are unreal.

Saying that patients attending A+E because of splinters in fingers and headlice, yes headlice are a major contributing factor to delays in A+E and the pressures the NHS are experiencing. This combined with government cuts in Health and Social Care are what is going to bring the NHS to its knees ready for privatisation.

    Fantastic news about Splash Magic!

Wrexham Council have got a cheek saying on tonight’s BBC news that they still have concerns regarding Splash Magics financial governance with they councils track record. Pot, Kettle and Black springs to mind.

What the f*** does Wrexham need with an “Arts Hub”. Take a look at the centre of town and you will see it’s DEAD. Killed by the Councils drive to encourage large retailers to sterile shopping precincts outside the town centre.

Wrexham town centre is now filked with empty units, cash for gold type establishments and modern pawn shops.

The council should be encouraging small retailers into the town centre with reduced rates rather than closing down the market and yet again wasting our taxes on another bloody stupid idea!

Time for the idiots at Guild Hall to step down and let someone with common sense take over.

Totally agree. I wonder what Wrexham Council would say if we with hold our council tax payments and say we do not get value for our money! I was brought up with Plas Madoc, I learned to swim there, went to Karatw there and have used the centre for the last 35 plus years.

The reason that the centre has cost money so far is to put right the decades of neglect by Wrexham Council. Splash Magic has already shown the potential the centre has, however the council is determined to ensure that the venture fails as it embarrasses them. They would rather waste money rather than support community services and facilities for the elderly such as Plas yn Rhos.

    Time for a revolution.

Same goes for refuse crews who drop contents of the bins on the road and leave it, including glass jars which then smasj!
