The Minutes from Gresford Community Council Meeting from January are now posted and available to read on the Gresford Community Council website.
Llay Community Council’s should be posted this week.
It is good to see that the all the same points we are concerned about also concern many other people, not just people living in Llay.

Just a quick update to all on the latest news we have regarding the development.

    1. Llay Community Council voted against the development.
    2. Gresford Community Council carried a motion not to approve the development.
    3. Rossett Community Council also carried a motion not to approve the development.
    4. Plaid Cymru against the development and general over development in Wrexham.
    5. Still no date for the Planning Meeting but we are led to believe it will be mid March.

You will be able to read the minutes of all the Community Council meetings on their respective websites in due course.

Good to see in the link below that others are also concerned about this development and can see what would be disaster for Llay and for Wrexham in general.

Plaid Wrecsam: Plans for over 900 houses in Llay and Rhosrobin are a ‘disaster waiting to happen’ says Plaid Cymru candidate

Just to let everybody know if you wish to object to the developement you need to get it in by tomorrow 9th january. Although there has been some confusion what the actual date is, but we are going by 9th january to be sure of getting it in on time.

This is the end of this blog as far as I’m concerned. If people look back to view all the blogs that I have blogged they will see the very reasons why I and many others are against this development. I do not know the farmer at Home Farm, never met them, don’t know anything about them except what I know now from this blog.
You will also see that many other people have blogged against this development not just me, people who I don’t know, never met.

All I am doing is defending my quality of life as a tax paying citizen of Wrexham. I go to work, work hard, have done all my life as did my grandfathers who both worked down Llay Main Pit.

When the developers can show me a document that will confirm the building of a new Doctors Surgery that will accommodate 1000 extra people, when the I see a document showing the addition of a new school for the extra 500 maybe children who will need a school place in their own village, when I see a document that will indeed prove to me that there will be no extra congestion on Gresford Road, the Straight Mile or any other local roads, when I see a document that will tell me my quality of life that I have built up for me and my family will not be affected by the building site that these fields will become, then I may consider that this is a good idea for all us ordinary folk of Llay.

But in the meantime while I wait to see these points confirmed, I will carry on objecting as I believe I live in a democratic country and am no longer ruled by the local landowner who lives on the hill telling the peasants of the village how to live and whats good for them.

    End of Blog

So Old Dog you presume to know me personally which I feel is very threatening and intimidating and if you presume to know me then jealousy does not even come close. You really do not know me at all.
Presume then you have read all the detail, and lets hope Old Dog that it does never happen, so one thing we agree on.

MCA Developers and Home Farm would like to inform everybody and I quote from their Site Analysis. “Each stage of growth and development of Llay has been a natural and sizeable addition to the village. The new proposals represent the next stage in the development & growth of Llay as a community.
What gives them the right to tell the people of Llay what is good for us as a community. How dare they.

So thank you Home Farm for such a lovely Early Christmas Present. Presume you will be all having a jolly, relaxing festive period whilst the rest of us will have this development hanging over us for Christmas and the foreseeable future. Really good timing so thanks again.

Everybody really needs to look at the detail.
It seems also that they are going to quarry the land first before they even start building, if I am not mistaken. Please somebody feel free to correct me if I have not read this correct.
I have spent all afternoon printing out every document for the Action Group so will keep everybody posted.
