LlayfaithfulParticipantSaxon unfortunately I’m sat in the pub discussing this with a group of friends. I am self employed but unfortunately I have no business in this area at present… So if your not to concerned about the local businesses I’m sure some of your supporters who rely on those services will disagree. Again evading the points made by myself and other supporters. Enjoy your Saturday night.
LlayfaithfulParticipantSo the anthrax wasn’t on the proposed land!!!! As another person commented all the facts need to be in place not just people claiming points! Saxon I guess we don’t have any of the above trades people that live in llay if you still seem to think the people of Llay will not benefit I’m sure the local businesses will disagree. I’m sure there are lots of people in llay like myself who are in support of this development maybe a support petition should be in place. So at least Anthrax is ruled out, you can’t brush that off like the people who will benefit. Zinger I’m afraid you don’t live in Llay so really your just poking the fire!!!!
LlayfaithfulParticipantHi, Saxon apologies for your anticipation I was busy working of which is out of the Llay area just to back up my point that people do now commute to work and I thought driving whilst accessing the internet was as daft as some of the excuses made for this development. I’m off down to support my local pub for a pint now that is one of the many beneficiaries of the new development as the local shops, window cleaner, cleaners, gardeners, car garages, dry cleaners, garden centres, chippy… And many more. I’m sure there are also lots of local contractors who would appreciate the work not only on the construction but the on going maintenace. Did anyone find the proof of the land sinking or anthrax. Anyways I’m off to have a pint….. Cheers
LlayfaithfulParticipantHi Saxon yes I arrived there about 4.30, my wife was there at 4pm though it was a good turnout but the whole of Llay was not in attendance. My points are only legitimate views if this Forum was just for negative points then it wouldn’t be a discussion board. In my opinion the comments I have stated are just facts and my views that it would be a good thing for Llay. You never know Saxon they may do a part exchange option and you could live on the new estate and reap the rewards!!!!!
LlayfaithfulParticipantJust to understand your point Zinger.. The development would be for people travelling to work in Chester, Manchester and beyond I would imagine a huge proportion of people living in Llay already commute to these places for work especially as Sharp have made hundreds of redundancies. Times have changed people commute to work to progress in their careers and find better paid work. Also if you don’t live in Llay how does this development have a detrimental effect on you!!!’
LlayfaithfulParticipantHi all, some very interesting points raised by all, like a previous person quoted that points need to be valid, surely Jo blogs commenting that the land is sinking and there is anthrax amongst the fields has to be proven??? I personally feel that a development in Llay will boost the local economy and also increase house prices as it has done in Hope, Penyffordd and Higher Kinnerton. The transport links couldn’t be better with the A483 just a mile down the road especially with the changes they are making as you approach Chester. Interms of Schooling and Health care I’m certain that these factors will be taken into consideration ie you are now able to attend a GP near your place of work so some of the possible residents may choose to do so!!!! Whether this development was built in any village/town people will always find points to disagree with rather than making the best out of a situation I’m sure you all would prefer nice new houses than derelict land as farmers continue to struggle!!!!!
