I agree with Weasel, I too do not drive but work in the town centre so visit TK’s on a couple of lunch breaks a week. I’m certainly not going to be able to get a bus to Plas Coch, go there, back and have a decent look around in less than an hour, and weekends are taken up with caring for the old folks so no chance then either. Bad move TKMaxx, bad move…. Goodbye, I’ll miss you!

Hi Rob, not exactly in the town centre, but the Peal O’Bells, and Bellis Bros – both in Holt – both offer free wi-fi!

    Kind regards

Welcome to Holt – where buses to Wrexham don’t now get you into town before 9:05 on a weekday, run one an hour, and the last bus home is 4:55pm from King Street. Obviously not caring about people who work full time and use public transport to commute. Somehow however those who travel into Chester to & from work have buses at suitable times both ways from the very same service. Very unfair, and in a time when we are supposed to be cutting emissions surely a ‘rush-hour’ timed service to and from Wrexham town centre on a weekday is essential. Someone out there obviously thinks differently. Oh, and on a Saturday the buses run every TWO hours. Useless. To top it off we have no service at all on a Sunday or Bank Holiday. Those little luxuries were scrapped about 9 years ago and despite petitions and complaints and anything else you can think of they have never reappeared.

Agreed, if those concerned were travelling from Wrexham General or Central TO Gwersyllt then they had opportunity to buy a ticket at the platform – the ‘no guard/conductor’ excuse just doesn’t work. In fact, as so many people seem to acknowledge that there isn’t often someone on the train to get a ticket from it makes their story that they planned to buy a ticket on-board even less plausible!

My Dad is registered blind now (macular degeneration). I met him in town on Saturday and he said the liked the new pavement as he could make the edges out more easily, and also that it was ‘more grippy underfoot’ – so two thumbs up from the octagenarians!!:)
