[quote quote=132542]You’re in cloud cuckoo land if you think you will be paying less, who’s going to set the size to be taxed? will all those older council houses with large gardens be hit, course they will. This typical Labour politics of envy in that anyone with a large garden must be wealthy.

Is there any evidence of this or is it pure assumption?

It sounds like the fear mongering being pushed in the Tory friendly papers like the Daily Mail & the Sun??

[quote quote=132542]Just for your info Atkinson lives in an ex council house in Llay not the mansion you infer. Why are Labour voters so envious of people who work hard to achieve something and make a few bob for themselves on the way?

Ex Council House in Llay ……….. ah yes, Maggie and her cronies introducing the Right to Buy and starting the Housing crisis! I forgot about that and will add it to my list of reasons NOT to vote Tory!

An interesting comment; many of my current Socialist friends were over the moon to be able to buy their Council house all those years ago; they bought the house at a huge discount and then over time sold the house and moved on making lots of money. True Socialists.
Many of those same people have all benefitted from that excellent proposal to encourage people to try to provide
for their future if they so desired; people were given a choice — you can buy or not.
That is the difference Conservatives look to aspire labour looks to decry.
