North Wales Police 101 frustations

I had to call in a couple of incidences on 101 this week, within minutes of one another. Taking 53 seconds to go through the bilingual questions made the whole process cumbersome and frustrating.

Has anyone else been left feeling the same way?

I have thoughts on how engagement with NWP via 101 can be radically improved but wondered if anyone else feels the 101 is letting everyone down.

Yes, it took me ages to get through last time I called and by the time the police got here the perps were long gone. Think I’ll dial 999 next time.

Interesting point in there, why can the bilingual brigade be sated by a simple # press 1 for Welsh or # 2 for English, that would cut the time on hold by more than half, and be able to report the issue quickly & calmly! Surely that is the point in any language!

Not that I call often but what winds me up is when they ask which town. As Nen says the perps have gone anyway so the only point in calling is to have a recorded crime number. I agree with Dave. There should be a simple #1 or 2 to press.
