What is so sad is that children and young people are missing out so much on attending failing schools and stop start Covid measures. Personally I think there should be a month’s break from face to face teaching and have suitable online and welfare support.
Bryn Alyn and Clywedog are on the naughty step in special measures and Rhosnesni is in need of significant improvement. Wrexham’s approach to Secondary Education has had considerable criticism and the LEA has been told to urgently attend to these matters
You can bet your bottom dollar that near unlimited excuses will be provided by the powers that be that the reason there has been no improvement or any worsening is because of Covid and they’ll dine out on that excuse for years to come – especially on child bad grades and performance in the poorest kids. They have effectively won a get out of jail free card.
