Gresford Church is the lastest victim of metal thieves. They have stolen some lead from the roof and five lead downspouts. Churches are easy targets being unoccupied for much of the time. What can be done to stop the theives?

set up a motion sensor activated night vision camera in a house across the street.

Just read in the Overton Oracle (they have their own monthly paper!) that the gates from the old cemetery down near the woods have been stolen. The cemetery and the gates themselves are a pretty notable part of the village’s history and had been there for decades, it’s sad to see.

Not long ago the same thing happened to the gates at Pentre Broughton Church.
