No, really I bet a few will remember Gordon chippy.

Which area did he cover? Must admit I haven’t heard of him.

He did quite a few villages, mostly because that’s where the business was rather than the town, mostly Llay, Bradley Gwersyllt.

That explains why I don’t know him. I used to haunt the other side of Wrexham in my youth Brymbo, Brynteg and Pentre Broughton were my main stomping grounds.

There was one in Pentre Broughton that wasn’t too bad but have been unable to remember what it was called. My grey cells are dying through over use!

Wasn’t Earnies was it? That was a nice chippy.

It was Ernie’s. Thank you, I have been wracking my brains to no avail. I shall sleep better tonight!

Going back to chippies, today I’ve been to Manchester airport to pick up my brother in law. Didn’t have time to make a meal so popped to Len’s chippy
in the town centre, opposite the Co op travel agency. It used to be quite good when they first opened and I recommended it to all the family. Since then though, it’s gone down. The chips are all soggy and the fish weren’t as nice as they used to be.
I certainly wont be using them or recommending them after today.
