Following on from our hotly debated Top 5 Best Wrexham Beer Gardens and with Euro 2012 due to start tomorrow we have decided to compile a list of the best places to watch this year’s European Championships. A lot of Wrexhamites will be routing for ABE (Anyone But England) but there will no doubt be an England supporting contingent about town too.

It’s by no means a comprehensive list so feel free to tweet us with any pubs/bars etc that we may have missed out.

Number One

One place that is going all out for the Euros is Maesgwyn Hall on Mold Road (opposite Glyndwr University). They told us that they have just had a giant projector and screen installed and will be showing all the Euro 2012 games. They are also running a special Euros offer of £2.50 a pint on Wrexham Lager and £2.00 Carlsberg and Tetleys during match times throughout the whole tournament.

Number Two

The Ironworks on Town Hill – has a number of Euro themed special offers as well as quite a few big screens to watch it on. The packages they have are as follows: Package 1. – The Van Persie Package £5 per head. Priority seating, Carlsberg Supporters Kit, inc burger & drink half time. Package 2 – The Rooney Package min 4 people £10 per head, Van Persie package plus one bucket of 8 chilled beers Heineken/Stella. Package 3 – The Ronaldo Pacakge £12.50 per head min 4 people, Rooney package plus 4 x 4 pints of John Smiths or Carlsberg. If you are interested in booking for any of the matches during the Euro 2012 & would like one of the above packages , please call 01978 366750 or inbox us for more details. Also – FREE AREA, 10 bottles Vk/ Stella for £15 , FREE PLATTERS FOR BOOKINGS OF 5 OR MORE, USE OF AN 8pt BOOZE TUBE FOR £17.90, £2.50 BURGER @ HALF TIME

Number Three

The Turf is always a good venue for watching football on the TV, situated right on the corner of Wrexham FC’s Racecourse Ground on Mold Road. They’ll be showing every Euro game and there’s always a decent atmosphere whenever there’s football on. Most lagers at the pub are priced at around £2.80 with bottled beers around £2.50, there are usually special offers on Carlsberg and doubles too. Wayne who runs The Turf said they usually do something for the final so it’s another ideal venue.

Number Four

Just down the hill from the Ironworks you will find The Commercial Sports Bar which has also got some drinks offers on. During all Euro games Carlsberg is £2 a pint and Fosters £2 a pint till the first goal is scored so make sure you get there quick! We are told they will be doing a “legendary” sausage and chips at half time which is as good a reason as any to get down there!

Number Five

Tenpin in Eagles Meadow is a family friendly venue to watch the Euros, they have a large projector on the wall as well as offers on food and drink including pitchers, cocktails and more. You can always sneak in a quick game of bowling before the match starts. Click here to see their latest food and drink offers.

As with our beer garden guide, our list is far from the final word on places to watch Euro 2012, so if we missed somewhere don’t be afraid to join the forums and pull us up on it or send us a tweet to @wrexham.
