A team of local tattoo artists will host a ‘£10 Tattoo Day’ this weekend to help raise funds for potentially life-saving treatment.

Dexterity Ink, located in the South Mall of the People’s Market will host the ‘£10 tattoo day’ on Saturday 18th March to help raise money for a mother of four, Michelle Jones, who has stage 4 Multiple Bone Metastases in the spine and pelvis.

From 10am the studio’s four tattoo artists will be tattooing selected small designs on any of-age customer who would like to participate.

The money raised from the event will go towards helping send Michelle to the Hallwang oncology centre, in Bavaria, for potentially lifesaving immunotherapy treatment.

A crowdfunding campaign for Michelle has also been launched, with the aim of raising £110,000 to help pay for her treatment.

Details posted on the Crowdfunding page, read: “If I can do anything just ask! It’s the first thing you say when something horrid happens to someone. Unfortunately most of the time there’s nothing you can do to help. This time however there is!

“We need each and every one of you to help us raise this money to send Michelle for life saving treatment! Shell is wife, mother and fantastic friend to everyone! She always goes out of her way to help other people and never says no! Well now she needs you all to help her!

“It sounds a lot of money but everybody shares and donates just a pound, we’ll soon raise this money.

“So please share, share and share again and please donate just a pound! Thank you all for your help and support in advance.”

More information about Saturday’s event and what it will entail, can be found on the Dexterity Ink Tattoo Studios Facebook page.
