Two Wrexham based businesses celebrated the grand opening of their ‘stunning’ new stores this weekend, resulting in one formerly vacant property now being occupied in the town centre.

After over a decade of trading in the town, Off the Cuff Menswear, on Town Hill has expanded to take over the whole shop that it previously shared with Richard Hughes Jewellers.

Richard Hughes the independent jeweller has moved into the premises next door, into what was previously an empty shop with the two businesses holding a joint celebration on Saturday at their Town Hill shops.

Both shops provide contemporary and classic jewellery, menswear, accessories and wedding hire.

Speaking after the opening event Mr Hughes said: “It has been a wonderful day and we are both delighted with the support we’ve had celebrating our new shops. We’re looking forward to the future and are grateful to our friends, other local business owners and Andrew Atkinson for attending to support us”

Lots of local people and business owners gathered to congratulate Morton Stanley and Richard Hughes on their expansion success with the shops being officially opened by Andrew Atkinson, Conservative Party Assembly Candidate for Wrexham.

Mr Atkinson thanked the assembled crowd and congratulated the two business owners on their success and journey from the Central Arcade to their current ‘stunning’ shops.

He commented: “This is great news for the town, two businesses are expanding and providing real quality goods and services and I couldn’t be happier for them.”

“The amount of friends, customers and local business owners that turned up this morning was fantastic and shows how popular these businesses are, I wish them every success.”
