‘Supply Interruption’ Causes Power Cut in Wrexham Homes

A ‘supply interruption’ has caused power cuts in a number of homes in Wrexham this afternoon.

Residents in the Pentre Maelor area – particularly in the Pilgrim Way, Bridgeway West and surrounding streets have this afternoon been hit with a power cut.

The issue has been caused by a ‘supply interruption’ in the LL13 area of Wrexham.

It is believed the fault will be fixed shortly after 4pm this afternoon.

A statement released on the SP Energy Network website states: “We will attempt to reset the network to restore your supply remotely. Our emergency response teams have been alerted and will be making their way to site to investigate and repair the fault by 4.15PM.

“Should this information change on arrival, every effort will be made to keep you updated. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
