A stretch of Ruthin Road has reopened following a crash earlier this evening.

The A525 towards Coedpoeth was closed for over an hour this afternoon while emergency services attended the scene.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision, which resulted in a road closure and diversions for motorists.

PC Thomas Hough has since confirmed that the road has reopened and that one driver is in custody after being arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

North Wales Police Roads Policing Unit say it has dealt with two drink and drive arrests after separate collision across the region today.
