Rhostyllen Powercut ‘Until 2:30am’

A powercut has hit the west of the town in the early hours of this morning.

The Rhostyllen area lost power at around 12:20am.

SP Energy Networks gave generic: “We are aware of a fault in your area” message, however

A recorded message on the fault line however said the power outage is affecting the LL13 and LL14 postcodes and hit ‘a large number of customers’.

The ‘supply interruption’ is being blamed on an unspecified fault.

A fix time of 2:45am was stated.

Update – despite timestamped at 00:43, the following appeared online at 1am:
“This is a message for customers affected by a supply interruption in the LL13 & LL14 postcode area of Wrexham. This has been caused by a fault on our electrical network and is affecting a large number of customers in a widespread/the local area. Our emergency response teams have been alerted and we expect your power to be restored by 2.45AM. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience. This message was created at 00.43AM on 22nd January 2017.”
