Update: Thursday 2.30pm. North Wales Police have been in touch to say that following their appeal a member of the public has contacted them to say the car has been found in the Tan y Fron area of Wrexham. It is currently being recovered.

Police are appealing for the public to help them trace a distinctive car, which is only one of two its kind registered in North Wales.

A black Lexus SC430 was stolen in Wrexham at around 1.00am on Wednesday and police believe it may be parked somewhere in the local area.

At the time it was stolen it was carrying a private plate RUL 6R. However, the original plate, GY03 MZX was in the boot and may have been put on the vehicle.

Alternatively the thieves may have attached different number plates to it.

Two men have been arrested in connection with theft.

Anyone who sees the vehicle or has information about its whereabouts is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101 and ask for Wrexham CID.
