Firefighters were this morning called to a JCB fire on the Wrexham Industrial Estate.

Shortly after 7:30am this morning there were reports locally that black smoke could be seen across the industrial estate.

A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they attended the Redwither Road area following reports of a JCB fire.

The fire was caused by a mechanical fault and the vehicle sustained 100% fire damage.

One crew from Wrexham attended the blaze and two hose reel jets and a mains jet were used to extinguish the fire.

The stop call for the incident was 8:54am.
