A director of GHA Coaches has recently resigned his position with RJ’s of Wem, a provider for bus services in the Wrexham area. A further notice shows the total owed to unsecured creditors from GHA Coaches is £5,276,865

Gareth Lloyd Davies of Corwen, who was yesterday slammed by the Traffic Commissioner for Wales, is listed as a Director of GHA Coaches, and up until a few days ago was also director of RJ’s of Wem. On the same day Mr Lloyd Davies was terminated as a director, Sally Ann Lloyd Davies also from Corwen was added as a director.

RJ’s of Wem were registered for new services since September 6th, trading as ‘Shropshire Bus & Coach’.

RML2418 Limited and RJ’s of Wem have had the two same changes:

We have asked Wrexham Council if they are aware that RJ’s of Wem has had a director change recently. We also enquired if connections of directors are taken into consideration on any current or future contracts with Wrexham Council and bus providers.

Wrexham Council did not comment, and have told us they will not be commenting any further on the topic.

An update from the GHA Coaches administrators has also been made public, giving a background to the eventual collapse of the company.

The document also contains a 299 entry 20 page list of unsecured creditors owed money due to the collapse of GHA Coaches, including £26k to Cheshire West Council, £27k to Wrexham Council and £978,000 to HMRC.

The list includes many local businesses, with the total value indicated at £5,276,865 .

Administrators say that their current outcome statement indicates that unsecured creditors could get a repayment of 5p in the £1 but that is an estimate before costs. That is roughly £260,000 to divide up between those owed the £5.2m.
