Hundreds of students at Wrexham Glyndwr University have cast their vote for the new Student President.

In what was a tough competition Emily Karim was announced at the new Student President of Wrexham Glyndwr University on Friday 18th March.

Up to 440 students took part in the election, with Emily receiving 60% of the votes.

Emily congratulated opponent Verity Jones on her campaign, and will be joined in office by Travis Davis, who was uncontested in standing for the role of Vice President.

She added: “I am overjoyed at being elected as President and look forward to continuing the great work already taking place in the Guild. Thank you to everyone who got involved in the elections.”
