If ever there was a case for us to go back to being the United Kingdom with a single Government is now – the public are being used as political footballs- there is no way the Offa’s Dyke that was built to keep the English and Welsh apart holds back the virus.

To suggest that the Welsh Government have access to a different science to determine what actions should be carried out is just ridiculous. The Leaders from all four nations should come to a joint platform and make a joint statement of intent for lifting Lockdown- the current point scoring of trying to jump the gun on announcements at different time cannot continue.

I do not know the detail so cant comment on whose actions will be in the best interest of the public- what I do know is that the advisors in all four countries cannot be right so one of our nations will see a likely increase in infections and deaths– can we allow our politicians to allow this to happen.

There was most certainly a better scientific alternative to the ‘herd immunity’ “science” originally espoused by the Tory government. That pseudo-science could well be responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands. We could have done what New Zealand did and locked down early. Not many deaths there.

That’s true Tim but what if they are wrong? We won’t know for a while yet. Will they just sit back & wait for another country to come up with a vaccine?

Sorry, zinger, what if they are wrong about what? They’ve kept their death rate low so far.

New Zealand has a larger land mass than the UK and a population around 16 x smaller than than the UK. A little bit easier to social distance, test track etc.
Look at today’s Media coverage, proposal to quarantine people arriving and all hell breaks loose with Industry group Airlines UK said the proposal, would ‘effectively end international travel to and from the UK’ and cause ‘immeasurable damage’ to the aviation industry and wider economy etc etc. Dammed if you do Dammed if you don’t.

Only if you think human life is worth no more than lucre.

This ain’t rocket science ! Just common sense.
Until there’s a vaccine, Covid19 isn’t going away. This topic was originally about testing or lack of in Wales. Testing is now carried out in Wales care homes after backtracking by Drakeford and it seems mass testing is finally ramping up for front line workers.

Why are the number of tests being completed in Wales still low and still under the number available? How can Manchester City FC get more tests than the whole of Wales? Are they being sold to the highest bidder rather than to those who really need them? Do Wrexham Care Homes have all the access to testing that they need? Maybe Sarah Atherton and Lesley Griffiths could seek answers to these questions and keep their electorate updated.

Man. City have only provided a car park facility for the testing. They are not providing the tests or carrying them out.
