I think its great that Wrexham Football club are using the 9 acres at the moment, but if it were to be built on yet another green space would be gone forever, I would guess there will be objections.
WCBC appear to have dug their heels in with regards to the Groves building. They would rather see it empty than in use. It will continue to deteriorate until it becomes too expensive to do anything with.
If it were used as a Centre of Excellence for young people of the County Borough it would at least have a usage which may fit in with the covenant & the building would be in use without the council losing face. Colliers Park was lost to Wrexham FC through dodgy dealings.
The club has a fantastic fan base for a non league club. We should utilise this interest in the home of Welsh football.
