Yale College Students Advertise November Open Evening on Radio

Yale College students, who create and broadcast their own radio shows in College have worked with local radio Heart FM to produce adverts for their Advice Evening on Thursday 15th November from 5 – 8pm.

Yale learners Lewis Owen, Joshua Collins, Alys Jones, Beth Parry and Lexi Jakk who are currently studying for their ‘Agored Certificate in Radio Broadcasting’ and who have their own show on Yale College Radio (YCR) as part of their extra-curriculum opportunities, visited Heart FM studios to record their promotional “heartfelt” messages to encourage new students to study at the College.

“Our students really enjoyed promoting the advice evening for Yale College and gave them great experience in a commercial radio station” said Yale College’s Radio Station Manager Brian Cullen.

The Autumn Advice Evening promises to be a spectacular event for prospective learners and Yale will launch their new prospectus to students for 2013-14 as well as showcasing their exceptional facilities and student support.

A big welcome will greet the region’s year 11 pupils with their parents who will be able to experience a wide range of activities from performances by students and New Dance to sampling tasty food and listening to live radio; courtesy of current Yale students keen to advocate learning at Yale College.

Student ambassadors will be on hand to show visitors around at both Grove Park and Bersham Road and shuttle buses will run between campuses. There will be opportunities to view the College’s outstanding facilities and attend workshops and demonstrations on both sites.
