A night of alternative music in support of Nightingale house charity, orgainised by Glyndwr students.

Featuring:

Castles – https://www.facebook.com/Cestyll/?fref=ts#
The Snowdonian three-piece band Castles, which have been praised by BBC Radio 6’s Tom Robinson for their multifarious blend of hypnotic psych rock & blues, will enthral you with a selection of new material capturing the raw and emotive spirit of North Wales.

Chuba Capra – https://www.facebook.com/bandchupacabra/?fref=ts
Twitchy garage punk abound, Chupa Cabra bring a riotous energy and cryptic imagery. They recall a bastardized hybrid of Wire and Ty Segall, and embody all the excitement that you’d expect of that description.

Delamere – https://www.facebook.com/DelamereMusic/?fref=ts
Having cut their teeth supporting the likes of indie buzz bands Peace and Palma Violets in their hometown of Stoke, it was clear almost from the outset that Delamere were a band with a bright future ahead of them. Garnering early attention from BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio, both of which continue to vocally support the band.

“Stadium sized choruses belie a sleek pop sensibility that sets them head and shoulders above their contemporaries” – Louder Than War Magazine

Mechanical Owl – https://www.facebook.com/mechanicalowlband/?fref=ts
Mechanical Owl are a four-piece low fi indie folk band from Mold who have remerged on the music scene with great success after a 3 year break. After releasing a sublime 10 track album in February on the ‘Drum With Our Hands’ label, they have already started on the next one.

“[Mechanical Owl] expertly merges everything that has ever come before; folk, electro and jingly-jangly guitars included” – Artrocker Magazine

Randy and the 2B’s-
We are a recently formed 3 piece band based in Wrexham, we shall be performing originals and a few disco tracks amongst a few other covers. We feel there is too common a template for bands whom play covers and so we shall attempt to stray away from this and play some songs that are well known but not played religiously by pub bands and we hope they entertain adequately. – Harrison Bellis
