Location: LLANGOLLEN TOWN HALL

Date: 14th to 15th November

Time: 7:30pm

Details: Dickens often invited friends to his house, to listen to him reading his stories and to act them out. He wrote several books specifically for Christmas including The Chimes and Christmas Carol. As we watch Dickens celebrate with his friends there are all the elements of Christmas celebrations: visitations from ghosts, haunted men, Christmas trees coming to life, plus festive joy. Beneath the jollity, the undercurrents of Dickens’ private life are always near the surface. Two Sisters loving the same man and of course Ellen Ternan, the secret lover.
