Wrexham will be playing Premier League Stoke City away in the next round of the FA Cup!

Due to the tie being against Premier League opposition we would like to think it will not only be a ticket bonanza for the club, but is hopefully also possible to be a ‘TV tie’.

The tie will also see Stoke manager and local Wrexhamite Mark Hughes return to his hometown club.

Wrexham beat Maidstone 3-1 on Saturday in the Second Road ensuring they were in tonights draw.

A hammering in November of Woking 3-0 in the First Round was proceeded by a replay at Macclesfield after drawing 1-1 in the first tie, with the replay being won 5-2.

Wrexham have made Wembley twice, but not in the FA Cup! The visits have been for the play off final and FA Trophy. With tonight’s draw, the town can dream again…!

Of course an article about the FA Cup and Wrexham would not be complete without the video of *that* goal, so enjoy:

More details of dates, tickets and any TV coverage will no doubt be released in the coming days with the ties taking place around January 3rd.
