A survey has named Wrexham Tourist Information Centre as the top TIC in Wales for customer service.

The centre – based in Lambpit Street off Queens Square – came first in a ‘mystery shopper’ exercise in February involving all 44 TICs across Wales.

The research is carried out every month in partnership with Visit Wales – the tourism arm of Welsh Government. The aim is to ensure Wales’ tourist information network is providing a quality service to visitors, supporting the tourism industry.

The TIC is managed by Wrexham Council and recently welcomed its one-millionth customer through the door.

Councillor Neil Rogers, Leader of Wrexham Council, said “Our TIC staff do a tremendous job and this result is testament to their hard work and dedication. Since the mystery shopper programme was introduced last May, Wrexham has continually scored over 90%. It’s fair to say we have one of the best TICs in Wales.”

The TIC provides information about holiday accommodation, things to see and do, events and other activities in the region, and is used by local people as well as visitors.

The centre is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm & Saturday from 9am to 4pm. You can also get in touch by telephone on 01978 292015 or email via [email protected] .
