A Wrexham man recently took on a mammoth cycling challenge in aid of charity.

Patrick Gatenby and Sue Tyrer of The Orcid Partnership took part in the Vimto 110km bike ride around Cheshire.

The cycle ride, with special appearances from football legends, Phil Neville, Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs, raised over £110,000 for Warrington Youth Club (WYC), an OnSide Youth Zone.

In its biggest charity fundraiser yet, 110 cyclists from Vimto and partners such as The Orcid Partnership joined forces to tackle 110km of the Cheshire countryside.

The Warrington Youth Club (WYC) works to support young people from ages 7-25, offering opportunities to gain, increase and develop skills and confidence, to improve their lives and futures.

Patrick Gatenby, Partner at The Orcid Partnership said: “It was a fabulous but gruelling ride which we thoroughly enjoyed.

“Although it was hard at times we knew that it was all for a very worthy cause and we are delighted that as a company we have raised over £1000 for WYC.”
