Wrexham Inclusion Football Club head to Munich for European Mental Health Championship

Fifteen players from the Wrexham Inclusion Football Club are heading to Munich this morning to take part in European Mental Health Championships.

Taking place in the suburbs of Haar, Munich, the club will face teams from Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia and many more from across Europe over a two day period.

The club, which are the only representatives from the United Kingdom, are hoping to improve on their fourth place position at last year’s competition.

To help them on their journey to Munich the local community and businesses have rallied around the club with logo sponsorship for this year’s giant Munich flag – which has raised £1095 after production costs towards the trip.

Andy Calton, head of media and promotions, said: “The community of Wrexham really rallied round and were extremely keen to join us on our journey with our flag sponsorship.

“It’s been great getting out visiting all of our supporters and as a club we can’t thank you enough for your brilliant support.

“We are looking forward to hanging it with pride at the tournament, as well as in various locations around the fantastic city of Munich.”
