A group of children have taken part in a ‘Solidarity Walk’ in support of their friend currently undergoing treatment.

On Monday 8th July the children of Wrexham Early Years Centre, in Caia Park, took part in the event in aid of Leo, who is currently undergoing treatment in Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

Seventeen children aged between 3-5 years, walked laps of Queensway Stadium, to show their support.

Rhian Hughes, headteacher told Wrexham.com “We’re extremely grateful to Mark and the staff at Queensway Stadium, who allowed us to use the excellent facilities.

“The children and staff wanted to show their support for their friend Leo who attends our school and is currently undergoing treatment in Alder Hey and the Wrexham Maelor.

“Staff were so proud of the amazing effort that all the children put into the activity.

“It was a wonderful event designed to show Leo how brave we think he is and how much we care for him and his family”
