The summer holidays have officially begun! With six weeks off you could be wondering what children’s activities are available in Wrexham.

Wrexham Council have released details of several free activities taking place across this week.

There may be some rain on the forecast for tomorrow and Thursday, however Friday into early next week is looking summery so far, so why not visit one of the 11 country parks across the county borough?

Tomorrow (Wednesday 25th July) you could visit Wrexham library and get the kids signed up for the Summer Reading Challenge. This year’s theme is “Animal Agents”. For more details simply call 01978 292090.

How about a bit of swimming for the end of the week? There’s free swimming sessions at Chirk, Gwyn Evans and Waterworld Leisure Centre at various times across the weekend. Further details of exact times can be found here.

On Saturday there will free craft sessions in the South Arcade of the Peoples Market.

These are only the events detailed by Wrexham Council  If you’re hosting an activity or event over the summer holidays, get in touch via [email protected]. Alternatively you can use our What’s on Guide – details of what sort of events can be submitted, can be found here.
