Welsh premiere of new Wrexham Rebel Wilson film confirmed for FOCUS Wales

The Welsh Premiere of new a Rebel Wilson Film which was partly filmed in Wrexham has been confirmed for FOCUS Wales.

‘The Almond and the Seahorse’ will screen Friday 10 May at 7pm, as part of the FOCUS Wales Film Festival at Coleg Cambria’s new theatre.

Director and star of the film, Celyn Jones will also be in attendance for a Q&A after the screening.

“I’m absolutely delighted that people in Wrexham will have a chance to see the film and hear from the director, after it was partly shot here. Who knows, maybe we can even get Rebel on Facetime!” Robert Corcoran, festival producer.

This year the FOCUS Wales Film Festival has secured a prestigious BAFTA Cymru- accreditation, meaning that every film screened in competition in Wrexham, is now eligible for a Welsh BAFTA nomination.

Additionally, the festival will give audiences the chance to hear from Leighton Cox, the wonderful local cinematographer and now an Emmy Winner for his work shooting the Disney+ series ‘Welcome to Wrexham.’
