Motorists are once again being reminded to make sure valuable items are not left out on display in their vehicles following a series of break-ins.

Over the past week a dash cam charger and money left on display in vehicles parked in Wrexham have been stolen.

Town District Inspector Paul Wycherley said: “We had a spate a couple of weeks ago, had a lot of theft from vehicles. We’ve arrested somebody for all of those.

“However there is a theme of things being left on view and I would urge people not to leave any items on display in their car.”

Previously the following advice has been issued to motorists to help prevent vehicle break-ins:

– Ensure you lock your vehicle and remove valuables when left unattended.
– Do not leave anything on display within your vehicle.
– Report any suspicious activity to Police at the earliest opportunity. Dial 101 for non-urgent calls. Dial 999 if your call is urgent.
