Ongoing police patrols resulted in a vehicle being seized and a driver fined after being caught using his phone behind the wheel.

The off road patrols were carried out yesterday in the Gwersyllt and Caia Park areas.

Details posted online today the NWP Roads Policing Unit, say: “Thankfully no sign of off road bikes but we did speak to residents regarding their concerns.

“One vehicle was seized and another driver was issued a ticket after being caught using a phone whilst driving.”

Last month two motorbikes were seized in Caia Park as part of the crackdown on illegal off road biking.

A warning was also issued to motorists following reports of antisocial driving of cars and mopeds in the Brymbo and Brynteg area – with residents urged to pass on any photos or vehicle registrations to your local PCSO or report to NWP using Op Snap.
