Motorists are being warned of potential delays after a temporary one way system was installed underneath Stansty Bridge.

Earlier this morning a number of readers contacted Wrexham.com regarding the installation of four way traffic lights on the B5425 New Road junction and B5101 Stansty Road.

However this afternoon Wrexham Council released a statement to say ‘a temporary one way system has been installed on Stansty Road to allow for works to be undertaken by Dee Valley Water’.

The statement continues onto say: “Traffic can flow from Stansty towards Rhosddu Road, however, all traffic coming from the opposite direction, towards Sainsbury’s, will have to follow a signed diversion route along Grosvenor Road and Mold Road.

“The one way system will be in place for five days. Every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum and we apologise for the inconvenience.”

As a result of the roadworks there has been delays in the area throughout the day, particularly affecting those travelling on Rhosddu Road.
