Series of drink and drug driving related arrests over weekend described as “hugely disappointing”

A series of drink and drug driving related arrests made over the weekend have been described as “hugely disappointing” by the NWP Roads Policing Unit.

Four of the incidents took place in the Wrexham area, including a woman arrested for drink driving on Cefn Road at 1:47am on Saturday 5th January.

Later that day at 12:41pm a man was arrested for drug driving in The Meadows area of Gwersyllt.

On Sunday January 6th at 2:09pm a woman was arrested on Ruthin Road for drink driving.

NWP Roads Policing Unit say that despite almost daily warnings, a “hugely disappointing” eight arrests were made across the region over the weekend – including Llay, Rhuddlan, Conwy, Penrhyndeudraeth and St Asaph areas.
