People in Gresford and Rossett have had a warning to be aware following reports of two incidents of cold calling in the area over the weekend.

Police reminded people not to open doors to strangers, adding: “Please be cautious and take necessary steps and reduce the risk of being a victim”.

Up the road Gresford has also been targeted by thieves, with incidents of garden furniture and similar items being stolen from gardens.

Local Councillor Andrew Atkinson asked people to “please be vigilant”, adding: “I’ve raised this with the police at the community council this evening. If this has happened to you please log it on 101.”
