The Wrexham Prostate Cancer Group continues to “grow from strength to strength” and can now boast over 50 members but are still encouraging more men to come along and join them.

The aims of the group are to raise public awareness and promotion of the cause of prostate cancer and to provide support for those who have it or suspect that they may have symptoms.

Their latest venture is to host a Charity Auction and a poster is attached which gives details on how to participate. Bids are encouraged to be made online for such items as signed football shirts, a Wrexham Lager brewery tour, a flight in a 2 seater aircraft etc.

Their fundraising is focused on raising money to provide specialist equipment to treat men here in Wrexham rather than have to send them to the likes of Liverpool, Manchester and London.

Group secretary Phil Jones added, “in addition we will also be looking to provide small donations to help cover the expense of the growing number of our members who have to travel to London for surgery.”

This vibrant group next meets at The Trevor Arms Marford at 7pm on 7th June and a warm welcome awaits. For details call Phil on 07525 824679.
