Power cut hits Wrexham city centre area – power expected back ‘by 6pm’

A power cut is affecting a large part of Wrexham late this afternoon.

Nearby areas have had ‘flickering lights’ and short power dips between 4pm and 4:15pm.

SP Energy have said, “There is a power cut affecting the LL11, LL12 and LL13 postcode areas of Wrexham.

“We had no advance warning of this and first became aware of it at 3:59pm. Our control centre will attempt to restore your electricity supply remotely, and we will also send our next available engineers to the area to find and fix the fault as quickly and as safely as possible. We expect the power to be restored by 6pm. ”
