A number of homes across the Wrexham area have been left without power this evening due to a ‘supply interruption’.

The power cut has affected homes in Llandegla, Gwynfryn and Southsea areas.

A statement released by SP Energy Networks says: “Your property is currently affected by a supply interruption in the LL11 postcode area of Wrexham and CH7 postcode area of Mold. This has been caused by a fault on our electrical network and is affecting properties in a wide spread area.

“We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”

Emergency response teams have been alerted and it is thought the fault will be repaired by 6:45pm.
