The weeks leading up to school exams are generally a time of excitement and, sometimes, disappointment following exam results for young people within the area.

At these times Wrexham has seen an increase in the consumption of alcohol amongst young persons along with an increase in anti-social behaviour and public order offences.

Wrexham Community safety Partnership are reassuring residents that measures are in place in order to reduce incidents of alcohol consumption, anti social behaviour and public order offences involving young people.

They say “Any incidents of this nature will be dealt with accordingly and hi visibility reassurance Police patrols will be implemented”

“We would like to urge parents to be mindful of the increased problems with our young people at this time and to ask them to cooperate with the Partnership in helping to reduce these incidents this year.”

Anyone who spots any antisocial behaviour issues are encouraged to contact North Wales Police on 101. In an emergency of course dial 999!
