A petrol station in Wrexham has been cordoned off following an incident early this morning.

Earlier this morning the police helicopter was seen hovering over the Borras and Holt Road area, with unconfirmed reports of police activity from 6am.

The Nisa garage, which is on Holt Road, has damage to the front shutters believed to have deliberately been caused by a car.

One person told Wrexham.com that the garage was cordoned off by two police cars and currently has police take around the scene.

Another told us: “Passed Holt Road garage earlier, all police cordoned off and red car on forecourt with police presence.”

Further details are due shortly from North Wales Police.

UPDATE: This incident is being linked to another in Overton overnight… more details here.
