Owners Urged to Keep Their Dogs Under Control Following Series of Incidents in Wrexham

Dog owners in Wrexham are being urged to keep their pets under control following three recent incidents in people and other dogs have been injured.

The separate incidents have involved a member of the public being bitten and two dogs attacking each other.

In a third incident a dog got into a person’s garden, with the occupant scared of being attacked.

As a result of the three incidents Town Centre Inspector Paul Wycherley is urging dog owners to keep control of their pets.

He said: “There is legislation in place however it is a matter for the public and the dog’s owners to restrain them.

“The last thing I want to do is enforce legislation which can lead to the dog being destroyed.”
