Officers on ‘Front Foot’ in Targeting Supply of Illegal Drugs in Wrexham
Two successful drugs warrants have been executed in the Wrexham area over the past week – with warnings of further arrests in the near future.
The two warrants were both executed at properties in the Caia Park area on Tuesday 18th July.
Speaking to Wrexham.com yesterday, Wrexham town district inspector Paul Wycherley explained that one warrant was in relation to the cultivation of cannabis and the second involving a seizure of drugs which has been sent off for forensic analysis.

Inspector Wycherley continued: “We are very well aware of the fact that drugs are in circulation in the area and that it causes harm to communities. There are a number of these warrants planned.
“I think the public expects us to be able to do these warrants very quickly at the moment we receive information. Sometimes that is the case, but we have to qualify that the information is accurate before we act.
“However the supply of illegal drugs on a volume basis is very much something we are on the front foot of in Wrexham and there will be other arrests shortly .”
