UPDATE 5:57pm: Great news: North Wales Police have just said “Many thanks the missing male from abergele has been located”.

North Wales Police are appealing for help in tracing a 65 year old man who is missing from the Abergele area.

James Dowling Duke has not been seen since around 11am today and has not contacted his family or friends since. Police were notified but all enquiries to locate Mr Duke have thus far proved fruitless.

Concerns were raised after Mr Duke spoke with a neighbour indicating his intentions to travel to the Snowdonia area but he is also known to frequent Prestatyn.

He is described as 5’3 tall, of slim build with short cropped hair which is greying and balding. Mr Duke walks with a limp and wears a calliper on one of his legs.

When last seen he was wearing a grey top, blue jeans and a baseball cap, possibly grey in colour. He may also be in possession of a blue holdall.

Inspector Andy Kirkham who is managing the search said “I am appealing for anyone who has sighted Mr Duke, or knows of his whereabouts, to contact the police.

“His friends have had no contact with him since late morning and we are concerned for his welfare.

“I’d also appeal to Mr Duke himself to contact police or family and friends to let them know that he is safe and well.”

Anyone with any information should contact North Wales police on 101 or alternatively Crimestoppers on 0800555111 and quote R137559
