A man has been arrested in connection with a burglary at a shop in Wrexham City Centre.

Police say that the incident, at Wrexham Trainer Revival on Lord Street, was reported shortly after 9:20am on Saturday 28 October.

It is believed that the break-in is understood to have taken place sometime between 4.50pm on Friday, October 27 and 7am on Saturday, October 28.

A GoFundMe page has already raised almost £4,000 in support of the local business.

In a statement released today North Wales Police confirmed that one man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Wrexham City acting Inspector Nathan Harvey said: “I am aware of many discussions taking place on social media in relation to this incident.

“Investigations are ongoing, and I am asking anyone with any information that could assist with our enquiries not to share it on social media, but to contact us instead on 101, or via the website, using reference number A172401.”
