‘Love Food, Hate Waste’ coming to Queen’s Square

Residents will be encouraged to ‘Love Food, Hate Waste’ with a special event on Queen’s Square this Thursday.

Wrexham Council’s waste strategy team are joining forces will Waste Awareness Wales to highlight the importance of reducing the amount of food we throw away.

Celebrity chef Richard Fox will also be on hand to rustle up some tasty treats using typical leftovers through out the day.

Information will also be available on how to reduce food waste through meal planning, portion sizes, instructions on how to store food correctly, guidance on food date labels as well as cooking advice and hundreds of recipes.

Pop down to Queen’s Square on Thursday between 10am-4pm to find out more.
