On Saturday evening and early Sunday we had reports of theft of a bike (since recovered), plus a person seen in gardens on Hightown Road, with multiple garden gates opened.

It was described as “scary opening the door to see somebody staring back at you”.

Police attended and searched the area.

Just up the road the picnic tables outside the Green Dragon have had their wooden tops smashed off and the benches turned over around the same time.

One was dumped on the pavement by pedestrian crossing so making it difficult for people to use the footpath.
